LINNAEUS UNIVERSITY

Linnaeus University in Kalmar has grown the last years, and needed to gather their faculties to a unified campus in the city centre. A project that has been running for almost 4 years, will soon be completed – and enhance the Kalmar skyline!

The campus consists of different houses, and Fagerhult are involved in the completion of the East and the West building. The different buildings had different consultants, but both chose us as the supplier of luminaires which contributed to a unified impression.

The campus has a modern and Scandinavian air to it with large glass sections, natural materials and raw concrete floors. The client was looking for a supplier with luminaires of high quality and efficiency, and the possibility to deliver large quantities. Our staff at Fagerhult did a great job calculating the right light for all the different environments and activities that these houses will accommodate.

"This will be an open place that everyone in Kalmar can use, and we will be able to collaborate much more easily with the whole community. I think that is exactly what a university should do."
